Almenodue
Almenodue is an open rehearsal space dedicated to the performing arts. This 120-square-meter hall was revitalized by Illoco Teatro with the support of hundreds of artists who, over the years, have contributed their time or donations while rehearsing in the space.
Almenodue is located within an occupied building in Rome, home to 120 families from 12 different nationalities who are awaiting public housing.
Almenodue is also part of the urban regeneration project known as SpinTime Labs.
SpinTime Labs is a shared asset, a hub of urban regeneration that brings together residents of different nationalities, artists, artisans, and citizens.
Spread across its nine floors are homes, communal spaces, rehearsal rooms, a carpentry workshop, an auditorium, a library, a coworking space, a social osteria, an editorial office, and at least a thousand other things.
In a city disfigured by gentrification and real estate speculation, SpinTime stands as a beacon—a place to meet, discuss, and dream.
The four years of constant regeneration of this abandoned place have transformed it into a welcoming rehearsal space where you can bring your creative projects to life.
