Story of a tailor and his soul

38f5d5f7-c9cc-4b24-83e2-373a1fe7bd9a

The story is inspired by the book The Lost Soul by Olga Tokarczuk, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2018.

The show, through the metaphor of tailoring, brings on stage the story of a tailor who, for the first part of his life (from childhood to youth), walks with his soul-vocation at his side. The compromises of adulthood lead him to lose her and forget her, until the emergence of distant memories pushes him to look for her, to rediscover himself and his own "integrity".

The relationship between sketch and dress is used to articulate the distance that exists between "imagined" and "created", reasoning dramaturgically and scenically on the theme of accepting failure and error as part of the process of constructing a dress or themselves.

The scenic environment works on duality: horizontal-vertical, weight-counterweight, lightness-heaviness. In an entirely internal time, objects and characters seem to float, lost in the search for their counterpart.
