Cùntami is a poetic show that tells, through a particular vision, some of the fairy tales we all know (Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Cinderella, Pinocchio...) through a dreamlike journey in a fairytale setting, albeit distorted, in which the protagonist finds himself after a random accident.
Cùntami is the story of a love, and the impossibility of living it; it is the story of a journey inside the unconscious of a man, a writer of fairy tales, who projects his own anxieties, insecurities, and difficulties onto his characters. In traditional fairy tales, everything always appears either black or white: princesses wait for their princes, princes are strong and brave, and stepmothers are evil. But if we think of the fantastic characters as people, the rules of the game change.
There is only one thing that fairy tales and reality have in common: choices. Any path taken always has consequences that we cannot know and that frighten us, but the greatest danger, probably, lies in not choosing... and in reality, there is no true love that can save. The journey of our protagonist, within a parallel world, that of dreams and the unconscious, shows us the stories from the books we read as children immersed in a sort of limbo, consumed by time and man.
The setting is not painted but built with the most disparate materials that create an imaginary space, sometimes comfortable, sometimes expressionistically grotesque.
