Almenodue is an open rehearsal space dedicated to the performing arts.
Almenodue is a 120 sqm hall regenerated by Illoco Teatro with the help of the hundreds of artists who over the years have rehearsed in that space, offering time or donations.
Almenodue is inside a squatted building in Rome where 120 families of 12 nationalities live, waiting for public housing.
Almenodue is part of the urban regeneration project known as SpinTime Labs.
Spintime Labs is a common good. An urban regeneration laboratory that brings together residents of different nationalities, artists, artisans, and citizens.
On its 9 floors there are homes, common spaces, rehearsal rooms, a carpentry workshop, an auditorium, a library, a coworking space, a social tavern, an editorial office, and at least a thousand other things.
In a city brutalized by gentrification and real estate speculation, Spintime remains a beacon, a place to meet, discuss, and imagine.
The four years of constant regeneration of this abandoned place have turned it into a welcoming rehearsal room, where you can imagine your projects.
All this in exchange for time, ideas, or a small contribution to continue the work.
