CURRICULUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
ADRIANO DOSSI was born in Segrate, in the province of Milan, on 11-09-1991. After graduating from the Rudolf Steiner Art High School, he moved to Rome where he began his professional training at the International Academy of Theatre.
In January 2011, he attended the course in Commedia dell’Arte techniques at the Académie internationale des arts du spectacle directed by Carlo Boso and was chosen for the play “La follia d’Isabella” - tour (France-Italy from February 2011 to September 2011). He works within the company I Nuovi Scalzi, in the shows La Ridiculosa Commedia della Terra Contesa, winner of best show at the international de Théâtre de Mont-Laurier festival in Canada where he was nominated as best Actor. He also works on the production “Pulcinella e Pasquale”, again within the same company, debuting at the Kismet Theatre of I teatri di Bari, for the festival -Waiting for May at Childhood-
She always cultivates two great passions, theater and communication, and specializes with two master's degrees in - Digital Communication Specialist - at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and - Corporate Public Relations - at the IULM University of Milan.
He works as a Digital Strategist at Luiss Guido Carli University, managing the communication plan for the Master's in Journalism and Multimedia Communication and the Luiss DataLab Research Center directed by Gianni Riotta.
He currently works as a digital media consultant at the strategic communication consulting firm Comin & Partners.
He has been president of the Illoco Teatro Association since 2009.
CECILIA CARPONI obtained her PhD in Music and Performing Arts in 2018 at the Department of Art History and Performing Arts of the University of Rome – Sapienza, in co-supervision with the IRET (Institut de Recherche en Études Théâtrales) of the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3. In 2020, she held a research fellowship at the University of Rome – Sapienza, collaborating on the project Documentary History of Italian Theatre. As a scholar and researcher, she mainly deals with twentieth-century European theatre, with particular attention to the history of the actor, pedagogical systems for the transmission of acting practices, theatre anthropology, and various phenomena of social theatre. She has participated in several national and international conferences, and is the author of scientific articles and essays; together with Andrea Porcheddu, she edited the volume La malattia che cura il teatro, Dino Audino 2020. In collaboration with IAC-Centro Arti Integrate, she edited the publication Matera Città Aperta, CuePress 2021.
She collaborates as an assistant and subject expert with the chairs of History of Theatre and Performance and History of Directing at the University of Rome – Sapienza. She is the editor-in-chief of the university theatre criticism magazine «Le nottole di Minerva», of the SARAS Department of Sapienza. At the International Academy of Theatre, she teaches Psychology and Theatre Pedagogy, Didactics of Physical and Vocal Training, History of Theatre Theories, History of Performance and Directing, and History of Cinema. Since 2019, she has collaborated with the Illoco Teatro company, taking care of the organizational aspects related to productions, training activities, and initiatives to promote theatre culture.
DARIO CARBONE
, actor, was born on June 15, 1990 in Desio (MB). He began his theatrical training in 2007 with the association “Teatrando”. He continued his studies at the School of Theatre Arts Binario 7 in Monza with Luciano Colavero, whom he would meet again in 2012 while attending the preparatory course at the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Art. He studied modern singing with Maestro Francesco Lori, the lyric contralto Adele Galli, and the performer Carlotta Tommasi. In 2013, he studied the Strasberg method with Marco Oliva at the Centro studio Oltreunpò. In the same year, he moved to Rome where he won a scholarship at the Centro Alta Formazione, under the direction of Massimiliano Bruno, where he graduated in 2014 performing in “R&G tutto questo è già successo” directed by Simone Leonardi. Shortly after, he became part of the Illoco Teatro company as an actor and organizer, taking part in various shows: “Cuntami”, “La versione di Shlomo”, “Le voci” (winner of the Giovani direzioni di Mamimò call and performed at the Almada Festival as a representative of O novissimo teatro italiano), “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Coriolanus”, “U-Mani” (winner of the national prize Fondazione Pina e Benedetto Ravasio). Alongside his work with the company, he participated in several opera productions directed by Graham Vick, was chosen as a cross swing and later also as company manager for ShowBees for the tour of “Potted Potter”, lent his voice for video games and multimedia content approaching the world of voice-over, and cultivated his passion for music and singing through the rock band Artisans. In the capital, he continued his theatre studies under the guidance of Lilo Baur, Roberto Andolfi, Andrea Bartolemeo, and took his first steps as a teacher within the Illoco Teatro workshops.
ANNARITA COLUCCI is an actress, performer, director, and theater teacher. She was born in Matera in 1987 and at a very young age became part of the Permanent Laboratory for the Art of the Actor at Hermes Teatro Laboratorio directed by Emilio Andrisani, with whom she deepened her study and research on ancient tragedy and popular theater. She was an actress with the company for 6 years.
In 2005 she moved to Rome, where she obtained a professional diploma as an actress and assistant director at the International Academy and graduated in Performing Arts at the University of Rome La Sapienza. She developed her technique with masters of various disciplines: Theater, Dance, Tap, Music, Singing, Aerial Acrobatics, elements of nouveau cirque, set design, costume design, lighting technology, and puppet theater. She deepened her training by studying at the Kultur University of Istanbul and working with directors and masters including Emma Dante, Davide Iodice, Alessandro Serra, Lilo Baur, Lindsay Kemp, J.J Lemetre, Mimmo Cuticchio, Vladimir Olshansky. Since 2009 she has worked with the company Ondadurtoteatro, with which she has participated in the most important international open-air theater festivals and in the squares of Europe, South America, and Asia, has taken part in international residencies, and has continued to study and research dance theater, acrobatics, and image theater. In 2012 she founded the company Illoco teatro, for which she writes and directs several shows including Le Voci (winner of the Giovani Direzioni competition and selected as a representative of the Novissimo Teatro Italiano at the Almada International Theater Festival in 2016), Cuntami, Lumen, Umani. From October 2013 to 2018 she collaborated with the Department of Arts and Performing Sciences of La Sapienza. She coordinates, organizes, and manages the project To Make the Theater I Dreamed Of. Since 2016 she has collaborated with the Mediterranean Identity Association and for the archaeological park of Paestum she directed in 2017 La Boulè, The Suppliants and in 2017 The Persians by Aeschylus. Since 2013 she has collaborated with Scienza&Scienze by Roberto Mancini and the University of Tor Vergata, working on several projects integrating Theater and Science (including Imma, Festival delle Scienze, Fulmini di Zeus). Since 2017 she has been a lecturer in the First Level Academic Diploma Course in Acting at the International Academy of Theater in Rome, teaching Manipulation and Acting with Objects, Textual Analysis, Costume and Theatrical Makeup Design. In recent years she has lived and worked in Rome, collaborating with various European theater companies and with artists, musicians, dancers, performers, and videomakers. She has deepened her techniques in puppet theater and theater with the desire to explore an aesthetic in which gesture, object, machine, and movement collaborate to create a dreamlike theatrical suspension. This aesthetic permeates all dimensions of stage writing and directing, characterizing her own philosophy of production, training, and use of space.
ROBERTO ANDOLFI began his theatrical training at a very young age, at 14, studying with director Filippo D’Alessio, working in particular on classical texts and voice use; in 2008 he graduated as an actor from the International School of Theatre - Professional Training Biennium.
He deepened his studies by attending internships and workshops: Literacy Internship on Commedia dell’Arte held by Manuel Fiorentini, La Rosa Bianca Internship held by Maurizio Donadoni, Internship on Breathing and Diction held by Stefano Lantufi, Diction and Acting Internship held by Cinzia Mirasolo, Course on the Theatre of the Absurd held by Manuel Fiorentini, Choral Singing Course held by Dr. Stefano Cucci, Comic Theatre Internship held by Pierre Byland. Since 2003 he has acted with various theatre companies and in various shows including: Il mio Infinito by E. Dickinson, directed by F. D’Alessio; Les Femmes Savantes by Molière, directed by F. D’Alessio as part of the Passeggiate Teatrali project promoted by the Province of Rome, Arlecchino servitore di due padroni, La serata a Colono by E. Morante, directed by F. D’Alessio, Cyrano by E. Rostand, Romeo and Juliet, directed by R. Mancini, The Bald Soprano by E. Ionesco, directed by M. Fiorentini, Le visioni di Prospero and Tivúcumprá, directed by S. Marcotullio, MOSTRO! written and directed by M. Fiorentini. Since 2009 he has taught at the International School of Theatre, now the International Academy of Theatre, interpretation, voice use, and diction. Since 2008 he has been on tour in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany with the show Clownarchia, of which he is director and actor. He plays the leading role in the show Shakespeare’s Tales directed by R. Mancini. In 2012 he presented at the Teatro La Vittoria in Ostra the show Like a Fish in Sparkling Water, for which he handled writing and direction. Since 2012 he has worked with the company Ondadurto Teatro with whom he collaborates as an actor and scriptwriter in numerous productions including Aire, Crash Flight, Arlecchino va alla guerra, and C’era una volta. In 2014 he founded, with Annarita Colucci and Adriano Dossi, the company Illoco Teatro, where he works as director and actor on contemporary image and figure theatre.
